Eighth District representatives to hold town hall meeting in Richland

Rep. Larry Haler, R-Richland, and Rep. Brad Klippert, R-Kennewick, will host a public town hall meeting this weekend. The event, to be held at The Arc of Tri-Cities, will be Saturday, March 11 from 10 a.m. to noon.
“I'm looking forward to a constructive dialogue with constituents on some of the issues we're facing in Olympia,” said Haler. “For those unable to attend, we're looking at possible dates for a telephone town hall in the future as well.”
“This is a great opportunity for us to meet with constituents who may not be able to travel over to Olympia for one-on-one meetings,” said Klippert. “I always love to meet with people from the Eighth District – to hear their ideas and concerns. Our form of government works best when citizens are involved and informed.”
Due to security concerns, no large bags or umbrellas are allowed. No food or beverages are allowed. And notably, no signs, shouting or artificial sound makers are allowed. The legislators also emphasized that the topics of the meeting will be focused on state issues.
