Rep. Larry Haler invites constituents to discuss upcoming legislative session

Rep. Larry Haler, R-Richland, is holding a district coffee hour to discuss the upcoming 2015 legislative session.  The event will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 7 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Commons area of the CSA Building, 719 Jadwin Ave. in Richland.

Haler who was recently elected to his sixth term in the House of Representatives, will give a quick review of some of the key issues facing lawmakers this year. He also said he is looking forward to hearing from constituents about their priorities, thoughts and concerns regarding the upcoming legislative session.

“Obviously the budget will once again be the focus of much of our efforts,” said Haler, who has served in the past on the House Appropriations Committee. “But we have other important issues to deal with this year. It's always good to hear from my constituents before I spend time in Olympia. Their thoughts, concerns and priorities help me make decisions on their behalf in the state Legislature.”

The 105-day 2015 session is scheduled to start on Monday, Jan. 12.
